ACCA has an excellent opportunity for a Microsoft 365 Environment Architect to join the Solutions Delivery team on a permanent contract.

The Microsoft 365 Environment Architect sets up and maintains the operation of the M365 tenant in line with the governance and security models put in place.


The Job

On a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Keep up to date with the various Admin centres within Microsoft 365 and the functionality available
  • Be in the Targeted Release group to get advance notification of M365 changes that could affect the organisation
  • Review the Messages from the M365 message centre on a weekly basis as part of the Governance Group
  • Monitor and review the Microsoft 365 Roadmap
  • Process approvals for Self Service capabilities – escalating where required
  • Review changes/ requirements coming through the CAR process
  • Create designs for changes to M365 tenant for sign-off by TDA
  • Review monthly M365 usage stats


The Person:

  • Attained or working towards ‘Microsoft 365 Fundamentals’ (MS-900), ‘Managing Microsoft Teams’ (MS-700), and ‘Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate’ certifications
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Understanding of managing SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams (with PowerShell management skills desired)
  • Intermediate at troubleshooting skills with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Teams Live Events
  • Intermediate understanding of the Microsoft Information Protection Framework
  • Understanding of advanced functions of Office 365 Security and Compliance Center
  • Understanding of Communication Compliance in Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Modern Lifecycle Policy for Microsoft 365 and interconnected workloads
  • Passion for technology with at least 2 years of Office 365 technical & functional administration experience
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent people skills with ability to handle difficult personnel situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
