We’re currently looking for a London-based Head of Learning, Development & Talent Management on a full time, permanent basis to join our global Culture & Engagement leadership team, forming part of our People Directorate. 

This is a fantastic role in which you’ll provide strategic leadership on ACCA’s global approach to learning, talent management and organisation development.  Joining ACCA at an exciting time as we launch our strategy to 2025, you’ll develop and deliver an integrated portfolio of solutions and interventions that support the capability, effectiveness and succession needs of the organisation. 

 

The Job

On a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Evolving our framework for identifying individual and organisational capability needs in the short and longer-term, aligned to ACCA’s 2025 strategy
  • Leading the design of the L&D portfolio using an appropriate blend of learning solutions – face-to-face training, experiential learning, e-learning, coaching and mentoring
  • Identifying and interpreting key external trends and best practices, with a view to introducing leading edge L&D thinking to the organisation
  • Building the L&D and Organisation Development capability of other HR and business professionals, enhancing our ability to drive forward the strategic people & organisation agenda at scale
  • Shaping ACCA’s approach to talent management, ensuring coordinated movement of people across the organisation and a strong talent pipeline for critical roles
  • Designing and delivering specialist top-team development interventions for high priority business areas, and building a network of leadership/team development specialists and executive coaches
  • Evaluating L&D activities for ROI and performance impact and driving the process of continuous improvement

 

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is educated to degree level; relevant post-graduate/professional qualification and recognised executive coaching qualification desirable
  • Has proven experience of managing L&D and Talent Management functions; experience in managing Organisation Development is desirable
  • Has deep expertise in leadership and management development
  • Is an excellent top-team effectiveness facilitator, with expertise in building relationships with senior leaders as a trusted adviser
  • Is experienced in the development, implementation and management of global learning portfolios, including digital learning solutions and mandatory training
  • Has expertise in the design and delivery of bespoke learning and organisation development solutions
  • Has proven experience of leading and line managing L&D teams
  • Is a strategic thinker with the ability to absorb multiple sources of information and create coherent strategic L&D plans that address short, medium and longer-term needs
