We’re currently looking for a Head of ACCA Qualifications on a full time, permanent basis.  This position sits within the Professional Qualifications team and is based in London.

Reporting to the Director of Professional Qualifications, you’ll form part of the Professional Qualifications Leadership Team and provide leadership across the wider directorate.


The Job

On a day to day basis, your role will involve:

  • Ownership of the ACCA Qualification, including shaping the product vision and generating a passion for the product from the team and organisation
  • Providing leadership and strategic direction in the management and change management of a team of highly skilled subject specialists
  • Leading on the identification and development of qualification innovations for the route to ACCA membership, ensuring that new initiatives are identified and implemented to keep ACCA at the forefront of financial qualifications
  • Working closely with the Director of Professional Qualifications on relevant education related projects and the development and implementation of the education strategy
  • Operational management of the exams panels and oversight of the production and content of all exams offered by ACCA over the examining year; and for developing and fulfilling business plans for the ACCA Qualifications team


The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a professional qualification in accounting with a broad experience in accountancy education
  • Can demonstrate a keen interest and knowledge of developments within the accountancy education and assessment sector and a very good understanding of stakeholder needs
  • Has a proven record of management in a senior role including experience of leading, inspiring and managing large teams (including consultants) through change
  • Has a strong teambuilding capability and a participative and open management approach
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Possesses excellent networking and presentation skills
  • Has the willingness and ability to travel (both domestically and overseas)
