Policy Manager (South Africa - EE) Johannesburg
As Policy Manager you will be responsible for leading and shaping the agenda of the accountancy profession in South Africa by enhancing relationships with key stakeholders linked to ACCA. You will promote ACCA's research and insights to build reputation and influence with members, employers and tuition providers; develop ACCA South Africa's market recognition strategy according to market priorities; and engage ACCA's technical expertise to contribute to legislative and market recognition processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop broad ACCA South Africa technical and policy strategy to ensure engagement with all key stakeholders (members, employers, government departments) Develop ACCA South Africa's market recognition strategy by forging relationships with key stakeholders, especially government in all sectors (corporate, public practice and public sectors) Collaborate with stakeholders on research and insights to position ACCA South Africa as a thought leader, including members, employers and professional partners Proactively engage with technical, policy and legislative partners to ensure that views of ACCA, and ACCA South Africa and its members are represented in legislation and other relevant recognition processes, relevant to the accountancy profession Continuously provide appropriate, relevant, timorous, and accurate technical and recognition support to members in a cost-effective and innovative manner Produce and present technical and statistical updates on matters affecting the professional and related issues, for internal and external stakeholders (staff, CHQ, members, employers) Establish a working relationship with relevant stakeholders that will enable ACCA South Africa to conduct joint projects that are in the best interests ACCA South Africa and the overall accountancy profession, including options for Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) Please note that preference will be given to EE candidates
