We’re currently recruiting for a Regulation Officer to join our Standards department in our stunning riverside office in central London.  This is a fixed term contract until March 2019 to cover for maternity leave. 

 

The Job

On a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Supporting the Regulatory Board and Standards Board through organising meetings, compiling and distributing agendas and papers, taking minutes and progressing Board projects in order to deliver independent oversight of ACCA’s regulatory and disciplinary arrangements
  • Producing the Regulatory Board annual report to Council and ACCA’s public Report on Regulation through close collaboration with the Board in order to promote how ACCA upholds standards and protects the public interest
  • Preparing annual reports to lead regulators, ACCA’s Regulatory Plan and applications for new statutory recognitions through collaboration with colleagues in regulatory functions in order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Managing the production of the ACCA Rulebook and other publications concerning standards and guidelines through liaison with internal and external parties in order to communicate professional and ethical standards
  • Engaging with lead regulators and other organisations by participating in regulatory meetings and managing requests for information in order to build and maintain effective regulatory relationships

 

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is educated to degree or equivalent
  • Has proven experience working within a regulatory environment – preferably in a professional body
  • Has strong organisational skills, with a logical and methodical approach to work and an eye for detail
  • Has excellent communication skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills, is able work alongside all levels and build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts
